Matthew 25:21 (KJV) 21 “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.’
Spreading God’s word in order to expand His Kingdom can be accomplished in many ways.
Local Missions
Mt. Calvary has two groups that complete local Missions in hopes of achieving this task. The Brotherhood which is made up of men of all ages in the church and the Women on Mission (WOM) which is made from women of all ages. Both groups perform duties to help people in need all the while spreading His word. Repairing houses, building wheel chair ramps, and working with local youth are just some of the projects completed. Working with groups such as Bold Mission Builders has enable the groups to reach people in need that have projects that require attention.
National/International Missions
Mt. Calvary participates in mission trips throughout the United States as well as outside the borders.
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a mission that the church participates in which shoe boxes are filled with items and LOVE. These boxes are then distributed throughout the world so that children can have a Christmas present.
The Backpacks for Appalachia project is another mission that Mt Calvary participates. Back packs are packed with school supplies and toys and delivered to the selected schools in Kentucky. A biblical passage along with singing and inspirational messages are delivered as well.
Music Ministries
MCBC’s music program is chock full of talented musicians of all ages whose main goal is to reach people for Christ through music worship. Our 8:45 am service offers contemporary worship, while at 11 am you’ll get the traditional hymn-style music.
